RECAP:

This week has been filled with simple recipes, a lot of baby kicks and self care. Since starting my second trimester it’s become part of my routine to have a few hours a day prioritizing slowing down and doing something to fill up my cup. Usually that’s reading (currently reading Iron Flame) or showering, getting into PJ’s (if I have nothing else to do that day) and curling up on the couch with my babies. I’ve gotten back into cooking but cooking as a pregnant woman has been CHALLENGING. Not because of the physical aspect of it but more so craving very, very specific things. This week has been all about refreshing toast combinations, a good protein and carb combination but also my obsession with Lahmacuns.

We finally got a Christmas tree! It feels like we’re so late to this but finally having one has been so much fun. I grew up having only real Christmas trees and up until I came to the U.S. I never encountered a fake one. But after a couple years of having a fake one this year we decided that enough is enough and bought a real one. It has been the best decision EVER- the smell, look and overall feeling doesn’t even compare to having a fake tree. So for anyone on the fence about real or fake, get the real one. Now that my little rant is over, let’s talk Holiday menu. I have no idea what to cook and what Christmas meal traditions I should start. So if anyone has any thoughts, please comment them!
