RECAP:

It’s been months (or shall I say a year?!)

I don’t even know where to begin or what to start with. Life has been a rollercoaster ride of meaningful changes and all the emotions that come with those. The only right place for me to start is with the most magical birth of my third baby Whimsy Lou. She came earthside on the day of the eclipse, quicker than anyone expected. After calling our midwifes to start their drive to our house, I told Lucky they wouldn’t get to us in time. The urge to push overtook and a few minutes later Lucky caught her tiny, little body and placed her ever so gently onto my chest. He scooped both of us into his arms and we sat for minutes, which felt like hours, until the sound of our door startled us. In walked our midwives with the warmest smiles on their faces ready to get all of us cleaned up and settled. It’s been months and she’s brought such calmness to our lives forcing me to be more present every day.

Three weeks after she was born, I shot my first editorial and a month after that, I was on set with Lucky and the kids shooting our GQ story and cover. Since then, I’ve spent more time traveling and on set than at home, always bringing little Whimsy with me. Our most hectic month was September, filled with long flights, European pastries and more outfit changes than I can count. Fashion month is always exhilarating to me- seeing new garments, meeting inspiring people and getting to play dress up multiple times a day. I always get a flood of people asking how we juggle three children while both of us work. It truly takes a village and usually we have my parents watch the older two and have one of my siblings travel wherever we are to help with Whimsy.

At the end of October we took a little trip out to Connecticut, to tour a few more houses. We’ve been searching for our house since August and finally found the one. I bought my first house!! It feels crazy saying that and being able to be in the position to do that. Being a home owner has always been a dream of mine and it’s come true. I can’t wait to share more! We bought an older house, that feels like a warm and cozy farmhouse. Our goal is to keep as much of its original charm but tweak a few things and make it our own. Here are a few images that I put on my moodboard for the house:
